I started this scarf project last fall and just started this Downton lace project for a demo I am going to do at the Knitting Pipeline retreat. Can’t wait to tell knitters about bobbin lace.
Try http://www.vansciverbobbinlace.com for books and supplies. Also http://www.internationalorganizationoflace.org is the IOLI. They have annual conventions in the US, a different location each year. Lists of local guilds, maybe you can find a group near you. Sometimes groups have a member who is a teacher or they bring a teacher in for special classes.

I hope to pick up my bobbin lace some time soon. However, I’m stuck on the beginner level but with the acquired book hope to get past that.

Can you please tell me where I can buy the items to learn to make lace? I have never made lace before but I would love to learn!
Thank you Carol

Thank you very much! I have also sent an email to someone in upstate NY. I hope to hear back from them too about lessons.
